Vision
The goals of the Christian Education Program are to help church members and attendants know God's love as it is revealed by Jesus Christ; to nurture a right understanding of Christian faith; to develop members who will be involved in the mission and ministries of the church; and to recruit and train members who will have Christian lifestyles and commitment. Youth Ministry
This ministry promotes the purposes and mission of the church through teaching and training in the church and denominational Congresses. Experiences are designed to mature youth in the Word, their works, and their witnessing. Within our Youth Ministry we will continue to work with our young people based upon age levels materials published by our Convention. We will continue to promote instruction time where aged women will work with our young ladies and where aged men will work with our young men. We will also continue to organize a working group to help our young people make the transition from childhood to adulthood. “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) Children's Church
The primary task of the Children’s Church is to prepare children for future participation in the regular worship services with their parents. Sunday School
The Sunday School of Christian Education is a departmentalized auxiliary for all ages and members in the church. Its chief purpose is to systematically teach members how to study the Bible, to understand its content and how to apply its teachings to life. Members learn and come to understand God’s love, admonitions, and commandments. Members are expected to attend, participate, to grow in love, and to conduct themselves righteously with power to evangelize. Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is a summer-week program of Bible study and related activities for all ages and persons in the community. The basic purpose is to teach the Word of God. Ministry and other activities are geared to help students accept Christ and grow in Him. Girls Mentoring
CROWNED is a ministry created for girls in 3rd Grade and up to foster leadership, confidence, spiritual guidance and academic success. The members of CROWNED are very excited about the success of the first term which included workshops on hygiene, school success, healthy living, etiquette, speaking with confidence as well as a trip to Southern University for High School Day, a Mother-Daughter brunch and an end of the school year lunch celebration. We are so happy that each of you took the time out to register and attend our Kick off today. We are also very excited about the wonderful things that CROWNED has in store for us this year. Boys Mentoring
The mission of Men Mentoring Boys Ministry is to provide boys quality time with positive, caring Christian men as role models who can share male bonding and critical character building values through fun activities that are connected to practical Biblical Themes. This program’s goal is to create a rite of passage that will help young teen boys understand and learn what it means to be a man. |

Vision
The mission of the church is to provide spirit-filled worship experiences free of DISTRACTIONS; and do everything in a DECENT and ORDERLY manner and to the glory of God Almighty. Music
The scripture recorded in Colossians 3:16 “let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord,” is the Bible foundation for goals of this ministry. Bible-based lyrics and musical instruments are used to create an atmosphere for expression of conventional and contemporary music in worship and praise services. The Black metered hymns, Negro spirituals, favorite hymns, and anthems are frequently sung to maintain the rich heritage of our forefathers and for training of all choirs, ensembles, soloists and the congregation. Sunday Nursery
This ministry provides parents an outlet to have their children monitored and cared for while the parent attended worship service free of distraction. Children's Church
The primary task of the Children’s Church is to prepare children for future participation in the regular worship services with their parents. Transportation Ministry
This ministry provides transportation to Sunday worship services to those individuals who otherwise could not attend due to a lack of transportation. Hospitality
Greeters are considered servants because of the office they hold in the church. They find their roots in the Holy Scriptures. “I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness” (Psalm 84:10). An outstanding duty of an usher is to be courteous. “Ushering is the art of making the members and visitors feel comfortable and of lending spiritual dignity to the whole church service.” –Ambrose R. Clark |
